Eamonn Murray, who teaches Set Dancing at the Derby
Irish Centre, is pictured presenting a wheelchair to Derbyshire Royal Infirmary
in memory of his wife. Eamonn chose the oncology unit at
the hospital because staff there treated his wife, Ann, before she died of
cancer three years ago.
Pictured receiving the wheelchair is Jo Cooper, ward manager
at the DRI. The traditional Irish dancer, who meet in Becket Street, Derby,
collected money to pay for the wheelchair over the last year. Eamonn said:
"I decided to do it in memory of my wife and I thought it would be a
nice gesture to give the hospital something back. The hospital was delighted
to receive the wheelchair and they were pleased that we had taken the time
to raise the the money
